John is a Landscape Archaeologist with a broad range of interests including contemporary and 20th century landscapes. Recent work in Jordan and Wales has lead him towards studying how the theory of archaeological landscapes in general can be applied to military, conflict and contemporary landscapes. John worked for many years as a Chartered Engineer in the telecommunications industry before returning to university to study Landscape Archaeology in 2002.
