Linah Ababneh


Linah is a paleoclimatologist and human ecologist concerned mainly with human-environment relationships in arid and semi-arid regions. Educated in Geosciences and Anthropology/global climate change (Ph.D. the University of Arizona, Tucson) and uses a multidisciplinary approach in understanding the effect of the surrounding environment on humans current and past.

Linah specializes in ethnographic mapping, dendrochronology, and palynology; have worked in the United States, Mexico, Jordan and Israel. She currently directs two projects in the US on the relationship between climate change and vegetation history and is part of three internationally lead teams that investigates past human adaptations to environmental settings in the Levant.
